SHEFFIELD, VT — A woman was arrested on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle crash on Berry Hill Road on Oct. 16.
Troopers were dispatched to the crash near 33 Berry Hill Road at approximately 7:16 p.m.
Upon arrival, troopers observed a vehicle off the side of the road.
Evidence on scene revealed that the vehicle was traveling west on Berry Hill Road when it failed to maintain its lane and left the roadway, resulting in the crash.
Troopers met with the operator, who was identified as Kalenda Rumrill, 49, of Kirby.
Investigation revealed that Rumrill had operated under the influence, and she was taken into custody.
Rumrill was transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
Rumrill was driving a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek, which sustained moderate damage.
No injuries were reported.
Weather and road conditions were dry and clear at the time of the crash.
