JAMESTOWN, NY — An investigation into narcotics activity resulted in the seizure of 7.7 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of a city resident.
A search warrant was executed at 12:25 p.m. at an apartment on Barrett Avenue by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and Dunkirk Police Department.
Cassandra M. Chadwick was located at the residence.
Investigators seized 7.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $1,198 in U.S. currency.
Chadwick was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
She will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
Authorities are asking community members to report suspicious or narcotics-related activity in their neighborhoods.
