ELIZABETHTOWN, NY — New York State Police arrested a 63-year-old man on Oct. 17 on charges of sexual abuse and weapons possession.
Arnold J. Ross, of North Hudson, was charged with one count of sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony.
The charge stems from allegations that Ross engaged in sexual contact with an individual less than 11 years old.
Ross was arraigned in the Town of Elizabethtown Court, where he was remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 bond, $200,000 partially secured bond.
A search warrant was subsequently executed at Ross’s residence.
During the search, six high-capacity ammunition feeding devices were seized.
Ross was additionally charged with six counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony.
Ross was again remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 bond, $200,000 partially secured bond.
