PAWTUCKET, RI — State Police arrested a Central Falls man on drunken driving charges following a traffic stop late Wednesday.
Emanuel Pacheco Berrocales, 29, of Central Falls, was taken into custody at 10:41 p.m. on Barton Street.
He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, second offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
Pacheco Berrocales was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
He was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
In a separate incident early Thursday, troopers arrested Josue Rivera, 45, of Mapleville, following a wrong-way driving incident and motor vehicle accident on Route 6 in Providence at 4:15 a.m.
Rivera was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in bodily injury, obstructing an officer in execution of duty and reckless driving.
He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
