LYONS FALLS, NY — A 42-year-old man faces felony and misdemeanor charges following an investigation into a domestic dispute and alleged violations of an order of protection.

Paul T. Ramos, of Lyons Falls, was arrested Oct. 22 by Oneida County Sheriff’s Office investigators.

Road Patrol Deputies initially responded to a residence Oct. 20 for reports of a domestic dispute involving a violation of an order of protection.

During the investigation, deputies discovered the domestic dispute had occurred in the Town of New Hartford.

The New Hartford Police Department handled that incident.

While on scene, investigators discovered Ramos had also previously violated the same order of protection by making numerous phone calls to the victim.

The case was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence Unit.

Ramos was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony, and stalking in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.

He was processed at the Law Enforcement Building and held at the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court.
