SPRINGFIELD, VT — A woman was cited on a retail theft charge following an incident at a local discount store last month.
Chelsea Rice, 33, of Springfield, was issued a criminal citation after police investigated a reported theft at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Sept. 26.
Officers responded to the store at 8:07 p.m. that evening for a report of an alleged retail theft, according to Officer Markus Watson.
Following an investigation, police identified Rice as the suspect.
Rice was issued the citation on Oct. 16 at 6:22 p.m.
She is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
Officer Adam Woodell assisted in the investigation.
