Man charged with murder in Peru

PERU, NY — New York State Police have charged a Plattsburgh man with murder in connection with the death of his wife.

Keith A. Henry, 33, of Plattsburgh, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Chloe S. Henry, 25, of Mooers, was reported missing at approximately 2:57 p.m. Oct. 19.

She was last seen with her husband.

Her body was found Oct. 21 in the area of Ridge Road in Chazy.

The Clinton County Coroner responded to the scene, pronounced her deceased, and authorized the removal of the body to Glens Falls Hospital.

An investigation determined that Keith Henry shot and killed the victim while inside his vehicle near Bear Swamp Road and Ausable Point in Peru.

Keith Henry was located, taken into custody, and transported to State Police barracks in Plattsburgh for questioning.

An autopsy was scheduled for Oct. 22 at 8 a.m. at Glens Falls Hospital to determine the official cause of death.

Keith Henry was arraigned in Peru Town Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail without bail.

The investigation is being conducted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, with assistance from the Forensic Identification Unit, the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, the Plattsburgh Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
