GREECE, NY — A 62-year-old man was arrested following a two-vehicle crash that left him unconscious and three others injured.

Officers responded to the crash at approximately 12:42 p.m. on Oct. 18 in the 700 block of Long Pond Road, directly east of Wegmans.

Upon arrival, officers found the male driver unconscious and not breathing inside a silver 1965 Shelby Cobra.

Officers and bystanders immediately began CPR until the North Greece Fire Department and Monroe Ambulance personnel arrived and continued life-saving efforts.

The driver regained consciousness after emergency personnel administered Narcan, indicating a possible opioid-related overdose.

A small red container with a white powdery substance was recovered from the driver’s clothing at the scene.

Field testing confirmed the presence of fentanyl and cocaine.

The second vehicle, a Mitsubishi Mirage, was occupied by four individuals.

Three occupants were transported to Rochester General Hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

Douglas Weatherhog, 62, of Fairport, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, moving from lane unsafely and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.

Weatherhog was issued appearance tickets returnable to Greece Town Court.

The Greece Police Department was assisted by the Gates Police Department, the North Greece Fire Department and Monroe Ambulance.
