LAWRENCE, MA — Members of the Detective and Patrol Divisions arrested a juvenile operating a dirt bike in the vicinity of Essex Street and Amesbury Street on Tuesday.
The dirt bike, intended solely for off-road use, was outfitted with studded tires and lacked essential safety equipment such as headlights, brake lights, and turn signals.
The juvenile was transported to the police station and booked on the following charges: operating a recreational vehicle on a public way, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unregistered recreational vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle or trailer, and helmet violation.
