JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested on a drug and alcohol-related driving charge early Tuesday morning after police responded to multiple calls about an unwanted person.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a residence on the west side of the city at approximately 3:40 a.m. on Oct. 21 for a report of an unwanted person.

Police had been dispatched to the same address multiple times prior to the incident, but the suspect had fled before officers arrived each time.

During the third response, officers were informed that the female suspect, who had red and black hair, had just left the scene in a maroon-colored Jeep.

Officers canvassed the area and located a vehicle and a female driver matching the description of the suspect.

A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Leonela Rodriguez.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that Rodriguez was operating the vehicle while impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol.

She was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by the combined influence of drugs and alcohol.

Rodriguez was also issued Uniform Traffic Tickets for observed traffic infractions.

Rodriguez is being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
