VERNON, CT — The Vernon Police Department responded to a motor vehicle versus motorcycle crash in the area of Hartford Turnpike and Mount Vernon Drive at approximately 7 p.m. Oct. 20.
An adult male operator of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Hartford Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and is cooperating with the investigation.
Vernon Fire Department and Vernon Ambulance personnel responded to provide medical care.
The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene and has since reopened.
The crash is being investigated by the Metro Traffic Services Accident Reconstruction Team.
No charges have been filed at this time.
