Man cited on stalking charges in Shaftsbury

SHAFTSBURY, VT — A New Hampshire man faces charges after allegedly violating an abuse prevention order multiple times.

Albert J. Kidder, 55, of Winchester, New Hampshire, was cited on two counts of violation of an abuse prevention order – stalking on Aug. 27.

Vermont State Police were notified of a stalking incident that occurred in Shaftsbury.

Investigators determined Kidder had violated a New Hampshire abuse prevention order protecting the victim on multiple occasions.

The Winchester Police Department assisted in the investigation.

Kidder agreed to turn himself in and was processed at the Westminster Barracks.

He was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Criminal Division on Dec. 15 at 8 a.m.
