NASHUA, NH — Police arrested 42-year-old Chad Silver of Nashua on Oct. 20 on a felony warrant for second degree assault (strangulation) domestic violence, Class B felony.
Silver was also charged with domestic violence criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, Class B felony.
On Oct. 18, police responded to the area of Pine Street and Veterans Memorial Parkway for the report of a domestic assault.
The victim reported being assaulted and strangled by Silver to the point where she could not breathe.
The victim also reported that Silver threatened her with a knife.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Division were assigned to further the investigation.
The victim told detectives that Silver is living in the homeless encampment on Pine St Extension, and they went for a walk to look for a lost cell phone when Silver attacked her.
After the investigation, an arrest warrant charging Silver with second degree assault (strangulation) domestic violence, Class B felony was granted.
Silver was held without bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit District Division Nashua Court on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
