Man arrested on criminal contempt charge in Saugerties

SAUGERTIES, NY — A 73-year-old man was arrested following a complaint of a violation of a court order.

Charles H. Long, of Saugerties, was taken into custody at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Oct. 15 on Shag Bark Pond Road.

The Saugerties Police Department investigated the complaint and arrested Long on a charge of criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor.

Long was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and released on an appearance ticket.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Saugerties Justice Court at a later date.
