Two arrested in stolen vehicle case in Greece

GREECE, NY — Two Rochester men were arrested Friday evening after police located a stolen vehicle in a parking lot near Latta Road and Long Pond Road.

Officers were alerted to the stolen 2015 Chevrolet Equinox by the department’s License Plate Recognition system.

Police detained the occupants and recovered 36.1 grams of cocaine during the arrests.

The driver exhibited signs of an overdose while in custody and was treated at the scene with Narcan before being transported to a hospital.

Lawrence Bryan, 36, of Rochester, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree, driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.

Lascelles McDaniel, 46, of Rochester, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree.

Both were processed at Greece Police Headquarters and transported to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment in CAP Court.
