AUSABLE, NY — A man was arrested early Thursday after allegedly fleeing from deputies on a bicycle.
Christopher Burrell, 38, of Keeseville, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, resisting arrest and inadequate lights on a bicycle.
Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies observed Burrell allegedly operating an electronic bicycle with no lights activated on Ausable Street at 2:12 a.m. Oct. 16.
Burrell allegedly failed to stop when directed and fled the location.
Deputies apprehended Burrell a short time later.
Deputies allegedly located two types of controlled substances in Burrell’s possession.
Burrell was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Ausable Court at a later date.
New York State Police assisted at the scene.
