Two arrested on drug, weapon charges in Fishkill

FISHKILL, NY — Two people were arrested on drug and weapon charges following a traffic stop on State Route 9 on Oct. 15.

Members of the New York State Police Troop K Community Stabilization Unit observed a vehicle traveling northbound on State Route 9 in violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law at approximately 8:21 p.m.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Elizabeth H. Williams-Green, 53, of Poughkeepsie, and the front-seat passenger as Luvin Gory, 59, of Pleasant Valley.

State Police narcotics K9 Wild conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a digital scale containing cocaine residue, multiple crack pipes, a small quantity of heroin and crack cocaine, and a loaded .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Williams-Green and Gory were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a firearm, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Williams-Green and Gory were arraigned in the Town of Stanford Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.

Williams-Green was remanded in lieu of $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secured bond.

Gory was remanded without bail.

Both are scheduled to reappear before the Town of Fishkill Court on Oct. 22 at 4:00 p.m.
