Second arrest made in Norwalk storage facility burglary

NORWALK, CT — Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a 2024 burglary at a storage facility that resulted in the theft of approximately $23,000 worth of property, including firearms.

Colt Meadows, 22, of West Haven, was taken into custody Oct. 14 at Stamford Superior Court without incident.

The burglary occurred July 1, 2024, at CubeSmart, located at 162 Bouton Street, where multiple storage units were broken into.

Stolen items included shoes, clothing, electronics and multiple firearms, according to police.

Detective Barron led the investigation, working with several law enforcement agencies over the course of more than a year.

During the investigation, detectives determined that a .357 revolver stolen during the burglary had been recovered in Branford.

Police previously arrested Tylon Gardner on Sept. 10 in connection with the case.

Detective Barron later identified Meadows as an additional suspect and obtained an arrest warrant through Stamford Superior Court.

Meadows faces multiple charges including five counts of burglary in the third degree, five counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, larceny in the first degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree, larceny in the third degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree, two counts of theft of a firearm and two counts of conspiracy to commit theft of a firearm.

He was held on $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15.
