KILLINGTON, VT — A Killington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being stopped for speeding on U.S. Route 4.
Richard Meinzer, 35, of Killington, was pulled over Oct. 8 after police clocked him traveling 69 mph in a posted 50 mph zone.
During the traffic stop, police determined Meinzer had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on previous charges.
Police also discovered Meinzer’s driver’s license was criminally suspended.
Meinzer was taken into custody on the warrant and lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center.
He was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 17.
Meinzer was also issued a speeding ticket carrying a $179 fine.
