HORSEHEADS, NY — A 29-year-old man has been arrested following a joint investigation into sexual abuse involving multiple juvenile victims.
Kenneth G. Morales, of Horseheads, was taken into custody Oct. 8 without incident by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Elmira Police Department.
The investigation began in August after information was developed regarding historical sexual abuse in Chemung and Schuyler counties.
Forensic interviews were conducted at the Chemung County Child Advocacy Center, and Morales was identified as the suspect.
Morales was charged with predatory sexual assault, an A-II felony.
He was processed and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail in lieu of $300,000 cash bail or $600,000 bond.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
