BETHEL, VT — A 51-year-old man was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge Thursday morning.
Norman Bevins, of Bethel, was taken into custody at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Rogers Lane.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks had received a report of a theft incident at Mill’s Hardware Store on Rogers Lane in Bethel.
An investigation identified Bevins as a person of interest in the theft.
When troopers located Bevins on Rogers Lane, they discovered he had an active extraditable warrant for his arrest out of New Hampshire.
Bevins was arrested without incident.
He was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.
Bevins is scheduled to appear in court.
