NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man faces burglary and criminal mischief charges following two vehicle break-ins near a Best Buy store.
Officers responded to the area of Best Buy at approximately 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 for a reported vehicle break-in.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene on foot.
While en route, officers received a second report of another vehicle with a smashed window, with the same suspect reportedly seen running from that location as well.
Upon arrival, officers located and detained Khalil Council, 19, of Hamden, who matched the suspect description.
Following witness interviews and further investigation, Council was arrested and charged with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the second degree.
