RICHMOND — A Woonsocket woman was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Troopers arrested Camila E. Ortiz, 23, of Woonsocket, at 10:05 a.m.
She was charged with reckless driving and other offenses against public safety and eluding law enforcement – vehicle in high-speed pursuit.
Ortiz was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, and later transported to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment.

Man arrested on drug charge in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH — A Brooklyn, New York, man was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Troopers arrested Steven L. Diggs, 71, of Brooklyn, at 2:25 p.m.
He was charged with possession of scheduled I to V controlled substance 1 ounce to 1 kilogram (methadone).
Diggs was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace with a future Third Division District Court date.

Two arrested on heroin charges in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH — Two Connecticut residents were arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Troopers arrested Sayyid Al-Bilali, 48, of Norwich, Connecticut, and Caralynn Turner, 45, of Norwich, Connecticut, at 3:51 p.m.
Both were charged with manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I/II controlled substance – heroin and conspiracy – felony greater than five years.
The subjects were transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where they were processed.
Al-Bilali was turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution, Men’s Intake to be held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
Turner was turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution, Women’s Intake to be held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
