ELMIRA, NY — A woman was arrested as a fugitive from justice on warrants out of Pennsylvania.
Sarah L. Culbreth, 38, of Elmira, was charged with being a fugitive from justice out of Tioga County, Pennsylvania, according to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.
Culbreth faces two counts of violation of parole in Pennsylvania.
One count stems from a lead offense of criminal attempt – theft by unlawful taking-movable property.
The second count stems from a lead offense of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, to which she had entered a guilty plea.
The Criminal Investigations Division received the warrants from Tioga County on Oct. 16.
Culbreth was already an incarcerated individual in the Chemung County Jail when she was arrested on the warrants.
She was arraigned in Chemung County Court and remanded back to the Chemung County Jail.
Culbreth is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
