THOMASTON — Police are warning residents about a scam involving the release of the new iPhone.
The Thomaston Police Department said scammers are sending messages claiming recipients have ordered an iPhone.
Police said people who did not order a phone should not click any links or call numbers provided in the messages.
Clicking links or calling the numbers could result in financial loss, according to police.
Police advised anyone with questions about their phone or service to contact their provider directly rather than using contact information from suspicious messages.
