AUBURN — A 19-year-old man was arrested Monday following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Pheasant Court.
Auburn Police Detectives, assisted by the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team, executed the search warrant at 16 Pheasant Court on Oct. 13.
CEMLEC SWAT members approached the home and made contact with residents after investigators learned there could be firearms inside.
Officers used a loudspeaker to announce that police were on scene with a court-approved search warrant before entering.
The operation went smoothly, and no one was injured.
During the search, detectives arrested Jayden Lopez, 19, of Auburn, and recovered a 9mm handgun with a loaded 10-round magazine and a loaded 30-round magazine.
The firearm had a 3D-printed lower receiver with no serial number, neon sights and a green laser.
Detectives also seized THC vaping products and a small amount of cash.
The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation led by Detectives Tyler Bresse and Matthew Alexandrovich.
In September, Detective Alexandrovich conducted a traffic stop that led to an arrest and the recovery of another illegal firearm.
Information developed from that case helped Detective Bresse identify Lopez as being involved in illegal firearm possession and the sale of marijuana and THC vaping cartridges.
Lopez does not have a license to carry a firearm in any state.
Lopez was charged with possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, possession of a firearm with a defaced or obliterated serial number and possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance.
He was arraigned and held on $10,000 bail.
