ROXBURY — A 61-year-old woman died after being shot Monday afternoon in the South End neighborhood.
Officers assigned to District D-4 responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 1855 Washington Street at about 1:07 p.m. on Oct. 13.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Marie Molea-Anthony of Boston.
The Boston Police Department Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
