AUBURN — Members of the Auburn Police Department arrested a man in connection with a shoplifting incident at Kinney Drugs on State Street.
Scott A. Meyer was taken into custody on Oct. 13 following an investigation into an incident that occurred on Oct. 10.
Police were dispatched to Kinney Drugs at 187 State St. for a report of a shoplifter.
During the investigation, police learned that Meyer entered the store and stole approximately $55.54 worth of merchandise.
Meyer had previously been trespassed from all Kinney Drug Store locations, prohibiting him from entering any store in the chain.
Meyer was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary.
He was processed on the charges and transported to the Cayuga County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment.
