RICHFORD — A 14-year-old runaway juvenile reported missing Sunday evening has been located and returned home, Vermont State Police said.
Abagail Couture of Berkshire was last seen leaving Weatherby’s Quick Stop on Main Street at approximately 8:20 p.m. Oct. 12, according to Trooper Benjamin Weed of the St. Albans Barracks.
Police had said Couture was believed to be traveling on foot or with other juveniles in the area.
She was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 135 pounds, with dark brown hair, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans.
Vermont State Police had asked anyone with information about Couture’s whereabouts to contact the St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993.
Police remind the public that intentionally harboring a runaway juvenile from their parents or legal guardian is a criminal violation of Vermont law.
