Armed robberies target Meriden businesses

MERIDEN — Four armed robberies of businesses occurred between Oct. 8 and Oct. 11, the Meriden Police Department announced Saturday.

Two robberies occurred at gas stations and two at pizza restaurants.

Police believe a male wearing a black face covering is responsible for the pizza restaurant robberies.

A male wearing a white full-face mask is believed responsible for the gas station robberies.

The cases are being actively investigated and police are asking for public assistance.

Police advise anyone observing suspicious behavior to stay at a safe distance and call 911 immediately.

Witnesses should note physical descriptions, clothing, direction of travel and whether suspects are on foot or in vehicles.

Police recommend obtaining vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers if possible.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous and police warn against intervention.
