JAMESTOWN — Police arrested four people in separate incidents Oct. 11, including two men on driving-related charges and another on domestic violence allegations.

Officers stopped a vehicle on the north side of the city around 12:30 a.m. after observing multiple traffic infractions.

The driver identified himself as Richard E. Rasmussen, 22, of Jamestown.

Police determined Rasmussen was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, along with multiple traffic violations.

About an hour later at 1:20 a.m., officers conducting a targeted patrol observed a vehicle committing traffic violations near East 6th Street and Grant Street.

The driver, later identified as Clarence J. Williams III, initially provided a false name to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant from Hamburg police.

Williams resisted when officers ordered him from the vehicle and attempted to discard cocaine while being arrested, police said.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, false personation and tampering with physical evidence.

At 7:09 a.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute on the south side of the city.

Police arrested Angel G. Ramos-Gonzalez, 26, who had unlawfully entered a residence in violation of an active order of protection.

He was charged with two counts of criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal trespass in the second degree and harassment in the second degree.

Ramos-Gonzalez also faces outstanding felony warrants for burglary in the first degree, criminal contempt in the first degree and assault in the third degree.

At 10:28 a.m., officers patrolling near West 6th Street and Cherry Street arrested Daniel J. Harding, 45, on an active warrant for retail theft issued by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania.

Harding is being held as a fugitive from justice pending extradition proceedings.

All four suspects were transported to the Jamestown City Jail and are being held pending arraignment.
