Mooers man arrested on domestic violence, child endangerment charges

MOOERS — New York State Police arrested a 30-year-old Mooers man on domestic violence and child endangerment charges Oct. 9.

Dustin A. Thibodeau was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

Troopers responded to Herrick Road in Mooers at approximately 8:12 p.m. for a reported physical domestic dispute.

An investigation revealed that Thibodeau and the victim were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.

Police said Thibodeau struck the victim in the face and wrapped his arms around the victim’s neck, causing her to have difficulty breathing.

Two children were present during the incident but were not harmed.

Thibodeau was transported to SP Champlain for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Mooers Court and released on his own recognizance.
