SPRINGFIELD — A 44-year-old Charlestown, New Hampshire man was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant Thursday morning after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Rodney Duby was taken into custody at 8:06 a.m. after officers arrived at 7:31 a.m. to investigate the complaint, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Police identified Duby as the operator of the vehicle and discovered he had an active fugitive from justice warrant issued by New Hampshire authorities.
Duby was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
He was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to answer the fugitive from justice charge.
Additional charges are pending results from toxicology and drug analysis testing by the Vermont Forensic Laboratory.
