CORTLANDVILLE — State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 13 near the Cortlandville Mall at approximately 4:54 p.m. Oct. 8.
An investigation determined that a 2005 Chappy motorcycle was traveling south on State Route 13 and made an unsafe lane change, splitting the lanes between vehicles.
While unsafely passing on the left, the motorcycle operator failed to observe a 2015 Hyundai Sonata that was making a left turn into the parking lot, causing the vehicles to sideswipe.
Both the operator and passenger of the motorcycle were ejected and transported to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The motorcycle operator was identified as Jeffrey W. Thomas, 19, of Cortland, who was ticketed.
The passenger was identified as Thomas Allbright, 27, of Cortland.
The Hyundai operator, Brandon G. Slack, 31, of Cortland, did not report any injuries.
