YORK — Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a York resident on burglary and larceny charges following an investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sept. 27, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Chestnut Street in the Town of York for the report of a burglary that had occurred during the day prior.
Through the course of the investigation, Criminal Investigators identified the suspect as 49-year-old Heidi Savage.
It was also reported by the victim that Savage re-entered the same residence again on Sept. 27.
On Oct. 6, members of the Sheriff’s Office arrested Savage.
Savage was charged with felony Burglary in the Second Degree and misdemeanor Petit Larceny.
Savage was also charged with misdemeanor Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree stemming from the incident that occurred on Sept. 27.
Savage was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention.
She was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before the Town of Mount Morris Justice Ossont.
The District Attorney’s Office recommended that bail be set at $10,000 cash or $25,000 bond.
The Judge did remand Savage to the custody of the Sheriff on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Savage at the court arraignment for her defense.
The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was present to represent the People.
The investigation was handled by members of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Identification Unit.
