SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested two women in separate domestic violence incidents Saturday.
At 12:30 a.m., South Windsor police arrested Tiana M. Rivas, 29, of South Windsor on a disorderly conduct charge.
Police said Rivas threatened a victim and had to be held back by a third party from attacking the victim.
Rivas was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Monday.
At 3:46 p.m., police arrested Carolyn V. Martin-Taylor, 64, of South Windsor on charges of disorderly conduct and second-degree assault.
Police said Martin-Taylor attempted to strike a victim over the head with a hammer during a domestic violence incident.
The victim blocked the strikes with her hands and arm, causing minor injury.
Bloomfield police located Martin-Taylor during a traffic stop and turned her over to South Windsor police custody.
Martin-Taylor was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Monday.
