Slingerlands woman arrested on DWI charges in Halfmoon

HALFMOON — The Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call on Aug. 23 at 2 a.m. at Trick Shot Billiard Hall & Wicked Eatery in the town of Halfmoon.

Investigation into the complaint led to the arrest of Sandra Dethomasis, 46, of Slingerlands.

Dethomasis was charged with DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor.

She also faces infractions for failure to use designated lane and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway.

Dethomasis is accused of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and of physically resisting deputies taking her into custody.

She is also charged with failing to obey the directions of every sign, signal or marking pertaining to lane usage and consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle on a public highway.

Dethomasis was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in the Halfmoon Town Court.

She was processed and photographed Friday.
