Rhode Island troopers make 4 arrests over weekend

LINCOLN WOODS — Troopers arrested Jesus Fernandez, age 33 of Providence, on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 5:10 p.m. for duty to stop in accident resulting in personal injury and failure to stop in accident resulting in damage to attended vehicle.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation and Fernandez being located at his residence.

Fernandez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10:15 p.m., troopers arrested Hailey Hollis, age 25, of North Providence, for possession of a controlled substance schedule I to V.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Chambers Street, in the City of Providence.

Hollis was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and then released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, at 12:05 a.m., troopers arrested Sergio Lopes, age 31, of Woonsocket, for child endangerment, driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with a passenger under 13, reckless driving, failure to stop for accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, simple assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, and weapons other than firearms.

The arrest was the result of motor vehicle crash investigation on Route 146 North, in the City of Providence.

Lopes was treated at Rhode Island Hospital, processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and then released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2:20 a.m., troopers arrested Rahzell Brown-Woodard, age 25, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-trial conference on the charge of obstructing an officer in the execution of duty originating out of the Johnston Police Department.

Brown-Woodard was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then turned over to Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
