SHEFFIELD — A 36-year-old Sheffield man was arrested Thursday on charges of sexual assault and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child following a two-year investigation.
Thomas Pullen was taken into custody Oct. 3 after Vermont State Police and the Department of Children and Families investigated allegations of sexual assault involving a minor that allegedly occurred from 2023 through September.
The investigation revealed that Pullen sexually assaulted a female he knew from when she was 13 to 15 years old, according to police.
Pullen faces one count of sexual assault and five counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.
He was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Facility without bail.
Pullen is scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in St. Johnsbury.
The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
