Man arrested on DUI, driving with suspended license charges in Barre

BARRE — A 40-year-old Orange man was arrested Friday evening on charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on Middle Road.

Michael Roya was taken into custody at approximately 5:34 p.m. after troopers from the Royalton and Berlin State Police barracks stopped his vehicle for a motor vehicle violation.

During the stop, troopers observed multiple indicators of impairment while speaking with Roya.

Roya participated in standardized field sobriety tests before being arrested.

He was transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing, issued a criminal citation and released.
