Boston police seek suspect in Back Bay assault, shoplifting

BOSTON — Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in an assault and battery investigation at a Back Bay pharmacy.

The incident occurred at about 5:13 p.m. on Oct. 2 at the CVS Pharmacy located at 587 Boylston Street.

Officers assigned to District D-4 responded to a report of an assault and battery in progress at the location.

Police learned that a female suspect had entered the store, taken merchandise, and physically assaulted a security employee before exiting past all points of sale.

The suspect briefly stood outside the store before leaving in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Black female, approximately in her 30s, last seen wearing a red jacket and white shorts.
