Waterbury, CT police arrest 5 in drug raid, seize heroin, cocaine

WATERBURY — Members of the Waterbury Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, Gang Task Force, and the Emergency Response Team executed two search warrants Sept. 26 at 37/39 Howard Street and for Kenneth Jackson, 52, of Waterbury.

Jackson has a lengthy criminal history, is a convicted felon, and is known to carry firearms, police said.

The Emergency Response Team was activated to ensure the safety of officers and the community.

During the investigation, police seized heroin, 29 MDMA pills, drug paraphernalia, 16.5 grams of cocaine and $1,475 in U.S. currency.

Jackson was charged with operating a drug factory, tampering with physical evidence, interfering with a search warrant, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of hallucinogenic substance with intent to sell.

Chelsea Barsaleau, 36, Christina Iverson, 31, Christopher Lauer, 45, and Caitlin Ramos, 38, all of Waterbury, were charged with interfering with a search warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.
