Springfield woman cited in Penguin Mart theft case

SPRINGFIELD — A 35-year-old Springfield woman was cited for retail theft following an incident at Penguin Mart on Sept. 6.

Police responded to the store at 6:33 a.m. for a report of alleged retail theft.

Officers reviewed video footage and identified Chelsea Perry as the alleged suspect.

Perry was located on Sept. 8 and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit in Woodstock.

She is scheduled to appear on Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the alleged charge of retail theft.

The case was investigated by Officer Lewis-Briere, Officer Kelcey and Corporal Singleton.
