BREWER — Brewer Police officers responded to Walmart at approximately 7:12 p.m. Oct. 2 for a reported bomb threat.
Out of an abundance of caution, Walmart employees evacuated the building.
Brewer officers and Walmart employees searched the building and were unable to find anything suspicious.
The store was reopened a short time later.
Brewer Police were able to track down the phone number which placed the call and identify the owner, a juvenile male.
Upon further investigation, officers determined the call was placed as a prank.
This incident is still under investigation and charges are forthcoming.
