BETHEL — A 48-year-old Barnard man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Tuesday night following a traffic stop on North Road.
Vermont State Police troopers from the Royalton Barracks conducted the traffic stop at 10:22 p.m. near the intersection of North Road and Stearns Drive after observing traffic violations.
The operator was identified as Neal Baron, 48, of Barnard.
During the interaction, Baron displayed signs of impairment, according to police.
Following an investigation, Baron was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.
Baron was issued a citation for his second DUI offense and released.
