ST JOHNSBURY — A 40-year-old woman was cited for retail theft after allegedly shoplifting at a local pharmacy Monday afternoon.
Shauna Herbert of St Johnsbury was caught shoplifting at Kinney Drugs located at 957 Memorial Drive at approximately 1:56 p.m. Sept. 30.
Herbert was asked to leave the property, but store employees believed she still possessed the stolen items.
When state troopers arrived, they located Herbert across the road from the pharmacy.
Herbert admitted to stealing the items, according to police.
She was issued a citation to appear at Caledonia County Criminal Court on the retail theft charge.
Herbert was also issued a trespass notice at the store’s request.
