Dirt bike rider airlifted after Schuyler Falls crash

SCHUYLER FALLS — A 15-year-old male from Morrisonville was airlifted to UVM Medical Center in critical condition following a collision between a dirt bike and a car Sept. 28.

New York State Police responded to the crash at approximately 6:03 p.m. at the intersection of Sand Road and Newell Court.

According to the investigation, a 2023 gray Nissan driven by 69-year-old Marilyn S. Casey of Saranac was traveling west on Sand Road.

A 2021 red Honda dirt bike operated by the 15-year-old was traveling south on Newell Court.

The two vehicles collided as they approached the intersection, resulting in the teenager being ejected from the dirt bike.

Morrisonville EMS transported the teenager to CVPH for evaluation.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to UVM Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
