South Windsor man arrested on drug, weapon charges after found unresponsive in vehicle

SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested a 40-year-old Stafford Springs man Saturday evening after finding him unresponsive behind the wheel of a running vehicle.

Ciriaco G. Capobianco was taken into custody at 5:50 p.m. in the area of Main Street and Vibert Road, according to South Windsor Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was still in drive.

During the investigation, police believed Capobianco was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Capobianco refused to complete standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested.

During a search incident to arrest, officers found crack cocaine on Capobianco and a handheld stun gun taser in his vehicle.

Capobianco was charged with operating under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

He was processed and released on a $200,000 surety bond.

Capobianco is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m.
