Lebanon police seek help identifying person in dog abandonment case

LEBANON — Lebanon police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in connection with a dog found chained to a telephone pole.

On Sept. 27 at approximately 9:47 p.m., the Lebanon Police Department received a call about a dog chained to a telephone pole in the area of the underpass on Glen Road, near the Glen Road Skate Park.

Officers responded and located the dog.

Officers noticed the dog had a laceration to the top of its head and neck area and there was no information about who owned the dog.

Officers brought the dog to the Upper Valley Humane Society and notified SAVES about the injury.

The dog does not appear to have a microchip.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Lebanon police have obtained surveillance video of a person of interest in the case.

Anyone with information about the identity of the dog’s owner is asked to call Lebanon Police at 603-448-1212.
