NORTH HAVEN — Kayakers reported finding a body in the Quinnipiac River Saturday morning, prompting a response from local police and state dive teams.
Officers from the North Haven Police Department responded to the scene after receiving the report.
The Connecticut State Police Dive Team assisted with the recovery of the body.
An investigation is underway to determine the identity of the individual and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
